The Why

The Arctic is changing fast. Sea ice and glaciers are our planet’s early-warning system.

Every change we make affects someone or something—so we choose change that heals.

Hope is active. When we act together, big dreams become reality.

Adapting To Rapid Change

We’ve seen polar bears on Svalbard hunting reindeer—a behavior that wasn’t common before.

Polar bears are extraordinary predators, but their primary hunting strategies are tied to sea ice. Turning to reindeer suggests desperation, a shift driven by hunger and the lack of their usual prey.

This adaptation highlights how the Arctic’s entire food web is being disrupted by climate change. These changes aren’t just localized to Svalbard—they’re affecting the entire Arctic Circle.

FAQs

Reach out directly if you have other questions.

Is this women-only?

The core is a women-led network; allies who champion these values are welcome in defined roles and events.

What happens after the voyage?

You leave with a clear plan, a support network, and access to our digital hub to keep projects moving.

Is this a political organization?

No. We’re solutions-oriented and ethics-driven. We work across systems with respect for indigenous rights and local contexts.

How is impact measured?

We track tangible outputs (talks, toolkits, school reach, media pieces) and accept that some ripple-effects are best understood through stories and community feedback.
