Building the Future with Oluwakorede (‘Korede) Oluwasuji and Katherin Robertson

Oluwakorede (‘Korede) Oluwasuji is an Outdoor Products Reliability Engineer with Stanley Black & Decker. In this role, ‘Korede ensures the quality, safety, reliability and test engineering essentials of select products within the outdoor category. ‘Korede develops test plans to qualify product productivity and warranty guidelines. Her focus throughout the past year has been innovation in leaf blowers, lawn mowers and hedge trimmers from several brands, including DEWALT.  Prior to her full-time position as a reliability engineer, ‘Korede was a part of Stanley Black & Decker’s Leadership Program in the electrical engineering division.

‘Korede has a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University in Electrical and Computer Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is currently a Master’s degree candidate at Johns Hopkins University studying Engineering and Industrial Management. ‘Korede is from Nigeria and is an avid traveler, having visited four of seven continents. Her hobbies include writing, event planning, and spending time nature.

Katherin Robertson is a Mechanical Engineer for the Drilling and Fastening category with Stanley Black & Decker. Katherin serves a unique role for the drilling team as a multifaceted engineer, utilizing a mixture of analysis, design, testing and project management to ensure peak drill performance for DeWalt. Currently she is working on a chuck qualification process to further performance and quality by developing new test fixtures and procedures to better quantify standards. Prior to her full-time position at Stanley Black & Decker, Katherin worked for Dorman Products doing product qualification as an engineering intern.

Katherin has a bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Mechanical Engineers, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She has her Engineer in Training license in mechanical engineering from the State of Pennsylvania and is hoping to eventually gain her PE. Personally, she is passionate about climate change and social justice, appreciating representation and opportunities to give back to the community through education. Katherin is a huge fan of music and art, as a hobby musician and fine artist. Other hobbies include horseback riding, gardening, camping, exploring nature and traveling.
